Centre academics can best be described as challenging professors teaching bright, enthusiastic students in an exceptional setting. 98 percent of Centre professors have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree and the student/faculty ratio is 11 to 1. More than 80 percent of current students ranked in the top 20 percent of their high school classes.

The campus has active chapters of Phi Beta Kappa and Omicron Delta Kappa, approximately 80 percent of Centre students complete one of the College's study-abroad programs, and more than one-third of all Centre students collaborate with professors in advanced research.

In the last 40 years, Centre has produced two-thirds of Kentucky's Rhodes Scholars and 23 Fulbright winners in the last 10 years.
