BIOGRAPHY

Carrie Frey is the Director of Library Services and joined Centre College in 1999.   She served the Grace Doherty Library for 25 years in various roles, including Head of Reference and Instruction, Head of Public Services, and Associate Director. She has been the Primary Investigator for the grant project titled Pathways to Diversity.  This nearly $175,000 grant-funded project spanned four grant cycles and included four Associated Colleges of the South:  Centre College, Furman University, Rollins College, and Washington and Lee University. She has also served as the Primary Investigator for grants funded by NEH and the American Library Association.

Carrie is a member of ALA, KLA, and the KLA Academic Section. She is Chairperson of the Kentucky Virtual Library Collections Work Group since 2018 and is currently the Chair-Elect for the Kentucky Association of College and Research Libraries.  Carrie serves on the Editorial Board of the University Press of Kentucky, since 2019.

A native of Defiance, Ohio Carrie has lived in Danville, Ky., since 1995 with her husband, Dave Frey and three children.
